Want to build real-world projects using real-world data?
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to interact with the Spotify Web API to access music data—from tracks and artists to playlists and more. Along the way, you’ll explore the importance of great documentation, how to handle asynchronous requests, and how APIs power modern applications.
What you’ll learn:
✅ How to read and implement third-party API documentation
✅ Using fetch and async/await to make API calls
✅ Practical insights into building data-driven web apps
Leave with a mini project and the skills to build with real-world data!
Is this workshop right for you?
This session is especially valuable if you’re interested in web development and want to see how real-world applications are built. You’ll get hands-on with callbacks, object-oriented programming, asynchronous JavaScript and the Fetch API, all through the lens of the Spotify Web API. We recommend having some comfort with these fundamentals - but no worries if you don’t! You’re absolutely welcome to join if you’re curious and eager to learn.
