Code That Moves the World: The Rise of Physical AI

Ready to explore how code is moving beyond the screen and into the physical world?

Code That Moves the World: The Rise of Physical AI

In this keynote session, we’ll dive into the rise of Physical AI, where software no longer just powers digital systems, but actively shapes the real world. From robotic systems to autonomous infrastructure, you’ll explore how modern AI is transforming hardware into programmable, adaptive agents.

Guided by Codesmith’s Co-Founder and Chief AI Officer, Will Sentance, this session will connect familiar software engineering principles with emerging concepts like Vision-Language-Action models, simulation environments, and spatial intelligence, giving you a clear lens into what the next wave of engineering looks like.

What you’ll learn:

  1. How the shift from digital systems to physical intelligence is reshaping software engineering
  2. The fundamentals behind Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models and how they differ from LLMs
  3. How simulation and “Sim2Real” pipelines are becoming the new standard for building physical systems
  4. Why the next generation of engineering will sit at the intersection of software, robotics, and infrastructure
  5. What skills and mindset are needed to transition from full-stack to “full-physics” engineering

By the end of this session, you’ll have a clearer understanding of how software is expanding into the physical world, and how your existing engineering skills can evolve to meet this next frontier.

Is this workshop right for you?
This session is open to all experience levels. Whether you’re exploring AI for the first time or already building in the space, this keynote is designed to give you a forward-looking perspective on where engineering is headed and how you can be part of it.
